Kate Middleton Wore a Symbolic Look to Visit Her Wedding Venue With Prince William
The Cambridges commemorated the 1-year anniversary of Britain's COVID-19 lockdown with a trip to Westminster Abbey.
Kate Middleton and Prince William returned to the site of their April 2011 wedding nearly a full decade later on Tuesday.
Of course, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's 2021 visit marked an entirely different occasion: the 1-year anniversary of Britain's COVID-19 lockdown. Westminster Abbey is now a COVID-19 vaccination site.
During their visit, the parents of three spoke with vaccine administrators as well as several citizens receiving the vaccine. The couple observed more than 125,000 COVID-related British deaths with a minute of silence during their outing.
Perhaps as an ode to her own royal wedding 10 years prior, Middleton wore a long-sleeved off-white dress coat with an embossed bodice. She accessorized with a suede beige clutch, matching pumps, pearl drop earrings, and a blue surgical face mask.
The Cambridges strolled the same aisle Middleton walked down to meet William on their wedding day, looking at each other knowingly as they did so.
