For the first day of the trip, Kate looked polished, and true to form, she paid homage to one of the country with her outfit. Dressed in one of the country's national colors — red — the Duchess of Cambridge wore a Zara blazer in a crimson shade and paired a white (also a color in Denmark's flag) ruffled blouse underneath the tweed jacket. Tailored black pants dressed up the look even more, as did her chic croc-embossed handbag, classic suede pumps, and a pearl necklace and earrings matching set. Kate's first stop on the tour was at the University of Copenhagen, where she met with researchers and scientists running the Copenhagen Infant Mental Health Project (CIMHP). The center's mission is to promote the mental well-being of and relationships between infants and their parents. She will be hosted at Christian IX's Palace by Queen Margrethe II, who is marking 50 years at the throne, and will also meet with Princess Mary at her foundation for vulnerable women and children of domestic violence.
