An outfit fit for a queen — well, duchess.

The picture of sophistication and the spokeswoman for classic style, Kate Middleton arrived at the National Portrait Gallery in London on Friday to meet the photographers featured in her new book, Hold Still, which has already topped best-seller lists today — its first day out.

And as usual, the Duchess of Cambridge looked effortlessly chic in a shin-length, vibrant red coat with buttons down the front. Middleton paired the look with brown leather, pointy-toe pumps and a matching brown mini bag. As she arrived and got out of the car, the duchess revealed a glimpse of the tan pleated skirt she wore under her coat.

The Duchess has joined Book Fairy U.K., an organization dedicated to sharing books with others around the world, to leave 150 copies of her new book around the U.K. The Cambridges' Instagram account posted a video of Middleton leaving a copy for one lucky person to find. And even more exciting? Each copy they scatter around England contains a letter from Middleton herself.

"Each copy is adorned with a gold book fairy sticker, gold ribbon, and has a letter from The Duchess tucked inside," the post read. "To make this activity even more special, book fairies, the Hold Still judges and participants of the final 100 images are leaving copies at places that gave them hope during the lockdown."

It continued, "This special book documenting the unique collection of photographs goes on sale today in UK bookshops and online."
