"Let's go!"

Is it time to start picturing little Rani Rose as a flower girl? That pretty imaginary image is about to get one step closer to reality. Kate Hudson and Danny Fujikawa are officially engaged, so prepare for flower girl Rani, boho bridal everything, and plenty of love all around.

Hudson posted the big news on Monday, sharing a photo of her and Fujikawa in a joyful embrace, a unique ring debuting on *that* finger. "Let's go!" the actress captioned the image, followed by a bride, church, and groom emoji.

The engagement is a long time coming. Though Fujikawa and Hudson made their relationship red carpet official back in May 2019, they've known each other for more than 15 years.

"We've known each other for 15 years. He's my best friend's stepbrother," she said during an appearance on The Talk. "We kinda skipped through the part of knowing what the hiccups were. You kinda skip the part of going, 'Oh, you're like that?'"

In August 2019, Hudson talked about how she wanted to be married to Fujikawa. It's something she's thought about for a long time, noting that she's been married before and realizes that it's not always the right move. She told The Telegraph that sometimes, marriage means more to the kids involved than the people who are getting married.

"We think about that a lot. Marriage is definitely not a golden ticket—it's not going to solve any challenges in a relationship," she said. "But as someone who's lived through … well, trial and error, I think that the symbolism of marriage, that commitment, is more important to kids than we sometimes think."

Hudson has two children from previous relationships. Ryder Russell Robinson, 17, and Bingham Hawn Bellamy, 10, with exes Chris Robinson and Matt Bellamy, respectively. Rani is her first child with Fujikawa.
