Kaia Gerber Found the Supermodel Alternative to the Party Dress

The 94th annual Academy Awards (aka the Oscars) are almost upon us, and to celebrate the Super Bowl of award season, celebrities everywhere have been stepping out left and right in their sartorial best as a prelude to the main event. And while most are playing it safe in LBDs and sheer gowns, Kaia Gerber, on the other hand, is not.

For W Magazine's pre-Oscar bash, the supermodel found the perfect alternative to the going-out dress, wearing a gold sequined bra top with shimmering fringed tassels and a glittering pencil skirt that featured green sparkles on top and red ones on the bottom, as well as a sheer panel of fabric at the hemline. Other party-ready touches included a super tiny clutch that fit in the palm of her hand and lace-up black sandals.

Kaia wore her shoulder-length hair down and in loose waves parted in the middle. She attended the event with her new boyfriend, Austin Butler, and the two were photographed holding hands while making their way inside the venue.

Gerber and Butler have been linked together since December, following the model's breakup from actor Jacob Elordi. Shortly after the pair were spotted leaving a yoga class together in Los Angeles, a source confirmed to People that the two were a couple. "Austin and Kaia are in fact dating," the insider revealed at the time. "All of her friends think they are so adorable and it's a total step up from her last relationship and she knows it too." They added, "She seems really happy. All of her friends think he's really cute."
