Kaia Gerber and Cara Delevingne Showed Off Their Matching Tattoos

In honor of Cara Delevingne's 28th birthday today, Kaia Gerber, her fellow model, best friend, and protest buddy, gave her Instagram followers a look at their matching tattoos, which read "solemate" across the arches of their feet.

"Happy birthday to my solemate @caradelevingne," Gerber wrote above a photo showing their feet. The tattoos made an appearance in another photo, which didn't have a caption, but was tagged @caradelevingne.

A source told People that Delevingne was spending time with her friends while they were all social distancing during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. That group includes Gerber, Margaret Qualley, and her sister. Rainey. Margaret also wished Delevingne a happy birthday, writing, "Dear @caradelevingne, man, too much to say. So incredibly lucky to have you as a friend. I love you, happy birthday."

Gerber and Delevingne both have extensive collections of tattoos. Gerber got her first tattoo back in October 2018 and has since added several more, including a single dot that she gave herself. Delevingne has a lion on her finger as well as her initials on her hand, an intricate piece featuring a tiger, and a sak yan four spire on the back of her neck alongside a pair of realistic eyes.

Delevingne also has a matching tattoo with model Jourdan Dunn.
