A Thank You to Our Partners
"Everybody's In," the InStyle magazine mission, has never resonated more than it has over past few months. Amid the coronavirus pandemic, we set out to create a truly special June issue that provides the stories, the escape, the humor and the endless service and style for which our readers have always turned to us.
We reached out to all-stars like Rep. Katie Porter, who told us over video call how she fought to make COVID-19 tests free. We coordinated Skype chats between the likes of Lin Manuel Miranda and chef José Andrés of World Central Kitchen to talk about the power of empathy when feeding a world in need. We called on photographers like Jennifer Livingston to shoot accessories in their own homes. And we even produced a self-care video with the incomparable Grover from Sesame Street.
Our cover star, Carey Mulligan, traveled to Paris for our final photo shoot before the shutdown began. We hope that the colorful images from her story stand as a reminder of the beauty and grandeur we are all yearning to go back to. Of course we couldn't have done any of that without partners who joined us to create this issue. And with that, we'd like to extend our thanks to EltaMD, Geico, J.Jill, JTV Jewelry Television, L.A. Girl® Cosmetics, Max Mara, Merle Norman, OGX, SOL by Jergens, Starbucks Coffee Creamers, Tipsntrends, and Whitehaven Wine.
Thanks for helping us stay committed to, as editor-in-chief Laura Brown says in her editor’s letter, “reflecting the world, participating in it, and doing our bit to make it better.”
