Um, is it just us, or does this feel shady?

The long awaited (and much-teased on social media by Jennifer Lopez) "Cambia el Paso" music video is finally here. And it actually lives up to the hype — because J.Lo is throwing some major shade.

The music video paints the picture of a strong woman walking out on her boyfriend as he chases after her, appearing to beg for her back. He continues following her until she's had enough and turns around and flips him off, while singing that her life is better without him in it. Damn.

First off, we applaud Lopez for this iconic (and empowering) move of ditching a desperate and annoying man. But we also can't help but connect the dots between this fictional scenario and Lopez's real life, in which she split from ex-fiancé Alex Rodriguez just months prior to this video shoot. It could just be a coincidence ... or it could be inspired by real life events.

J.Lo told  Zane Lowe on Apple Music that the song and concept really "resonated right now" for her.

"It is about change and it is about taking a step," she said, per Entertainment Tonight. "And it's like, at once I just advance, just take one step. It doesn't matter. Right. Left. Whatever. Take a step. When things don't feel right. When you need to change, 'Cambia El Paso,' that's it,"

The rest of the video includes some super spicy dance sequences and J.Lo dancing through the streets, as well as rolling around on the beach in a pair of very cheeky shorts and that bedazzled bra.

Of course, now the multi-hyphenate is living her best life, sharing that she's "never been better." "I'm super happy," she told Lowe. "I know people are always wondering, 'How are you? What's going on? Are you okay?' This is it. I've never been better."

She continued, "I want my people who care about me, because I care about them so much, to know that I've really gotten to a place in my life where I'm great on my own. And I think once you get to that place, then amazing things happen to you that you never imagine in your life happening again. And so that is where I'm at."
