Jennifer Aniston Drinks Collagen in Her Morning Coffee

The actress shares her routine for better sleep, endurance, and energy.

"The most important aspects of my wellness routine are sleep, meditation, hydration, and proper nutrition," says Jennifer Aniston. In addition to these measures, she is loyal to a holy-grail ingredient that has been part of her regimen for seven years.

"In 2014, my doctor suggested I start incorporating collagen into my diet. After two months, I started to notice my workouts being easier and my sleep and endurance improving, plus I had incredible energy throughout the day," says Aniston, who is now chief creative officer of Vital Proteins, a company that specializes in supplements.

Remaining active is also very important to the actress. After recovering from a back injury she incurred last fall, Aniston shifted her fitness focus from HIIT to Pilates, which she returned to after a 15-year hiatus. "At first I was like, 'Oh god, I am not moving enough, and I don't sweat because I am basically stretching.' But [Pilates] changed everything. I get great workouts without doing hard cardio," she says.

Keeping a healthy mindset is also a priority for her, especially over the past year. "The silver lining of this pandemic is that it gave us the chance to have a real emotional, physical, and mental reset," she says, "and [it made us] grateful for what we have."
