InStyle's editorial guidelines Published on August 11, 2021 @ 09:52AM Pin Share Tweet Email After the earth-shattering revelation that Jennifer Aniston and David Schwimmer had crushes on each other while filming Friends, it's only natural that super-fans would want the actors to date in real life. Sadly for Ross and Rachel 'shippers everywhere, Schwimmer's rep quashed any rumors that the two are romantically involved, following a report claiming they were "spending time" together. The rep told The Independent that there was "no truth" to rumors of a romantic relationship. The response comes after Closer published an article claiming that Schwimmer and Aniston reconnected after the Friends reunion special, and that he had flown from his home in N.Y.C. to join her in L.A. "They've been spending time at Jen's home, where she's cooked dinners in the evenings, and have enjoyed quality time together, chatting and laughing," the source had said. 'They were also spotted drinking wine, deep in conversation, as they walked around one of Jen's favourite vineyards in Santa Barbara, where it was clear there was lots of chemistry between them." Schwimmer and Aniston began trending on Twitter on Tuesday following the report, but it seems that for now, we can rule out any offscreen romance. Jennifer Aniston Wished Justin Theroux a Happy Birthday With a Shirtless Snapshot During the reunion special, Schwimmer admitted that he "had a major crush on Jen [Aniston]" during the sitcom's first season, with Aniston adding, "and it was reciprocated." "At some point we were both crushing hard on each other, but it was like two ships passing because one of us was always in a relationship," Schwimmer said. "We never crossed that boundary."
