But thanks to Jennifer Aniston, we might have a new offbeat relationship term to inspire us: "soul clusters." Aniston was interviewed by friend and co-star Tig Notaro (the two star opposite each other in the upcoming First Ladies) for Harper's Bazaar, during which Notaro asked if Aniston believes in soul mates. "I think we have many soul mates," she replied. "I don’t think there’s one and one only. I think we have soul clusters." She went on to explain that she believes that you can have more than one soul mate — and that a soul mate doesn't have to be a romantic partner. "I’ve had some of my friends for 35 years," she said. "I think we’ve all made some sort of unconscious agreement. It’s like when certain groups of people meet, they form a little soul cluster — a sort of common group of souls who have been put together." It's clear that Friends (sorry) are important to Aniston. Elsewhere in the interview, when asked what qualities she admires in a partner, she said, "A sense of humor. Strong sense of self-worth, confidence, kindness, generosity. Good people surrounding them." And suffice to say, she knows a thing or two about surrounding yourself with good people.
