Emma Stone stole the show at the 32nd Annual Santa Barbara International Film Festival on Friday in an elegant black dress and sideswept locks. The red-haired beauty's low neckline, thin straps, and oblique-baring cutouts sizzled on the red carpet as she and Ryan Gosling were awarded the Outstanding Performers of the Year Award for La La Land. The backless dress included some swinging blue and black fringe that gave her look a touch of Old Hollywood glam. Stone kept her makeup simple (a peach lip, smoky eyes and dewy skin), and her accessories minimal with some subtle diamond earrings, a glitzy ring and black sandals.

Gosling, meanwhile, looked dapper in a pin-striped suit and black tie, and his hair combed neatly to the side.

He and Stone have each been nominated for Oscars for their roles in La La Land, the modern musical and Hollywood love letter directed by Damien Chazelle. "What a morning," Stone said when learning of her nomination.

I am so grateful for this honor and I'm so happy to share this feeling with my La La Land family...The greatest part of life is connecting with people, and I love the deeply talented, kind and passionate people I was lucky enough to work with on this movie." Ryan Gosling had similar sentiments, telling E! News, "I'm very grateful to the Academy for recognizing my work in La La Land. It was a true collaboration, so to see everyone else's wonderful work on the film acknowledged so generously makes it even more special."
