Dua Lipa Is Making a Case for Knit Arm Warmers
At this point, Dua Lipa has pretty much solidified her spot as the queen of photo dumps, Y2K fashion, and brow-raising outfits that somehow just work — and her most recent Instagram post is checking all the boxes.
The "Levitating" singer took a break from posting concert clips and behind-the-scenes moments from her Future Nostalgia tour to share a series of photos with her 81.4 million followers of what she's been up to "recently." Though Dua rarely misses, one standout fit from her line-up was especially noteworthy: a springy pastel knit dress complete with matching arm warmers.
Dua's sweet lilac mini dress featured a square neckline and a ruffled hem, and the fingerless nature of her arm warmers not only screamed Y2K, but likely made them way more wearable than typical opera gloves (Hello, functional fashion!). The pop star finished her monochromatic look by accessorizing with a matching purple claw clip, blingy shield sunnies, and dangling silver statement earrings.
The other pictures in Dua's post gave followers a glimpse into hangouts with friends, days in nature, and dogs galore while also showcasing the celebrity's style range. In fact, the first photo in her dump is a complete 180 from her usual Y2K-inspired outfits and featured a structured black blazer, sheer black top, and sexy peekaboo bra.
Though the pop star is currently in the middle of the North American leg of her Future Nostalgia World Tour, she recently talked about the timeline of her next album while chatting with Elton John on an episode of her podcast, At Your Service.
"It's like, I wanna say maybe 50% of the way," Lipa shared when asked if her new album was close to being finished. "I've still got lots more to do but it's starting to feel good. It's starting to take shape. I'm very excited about some of the new songs."
