Dua Lipa Is Blonde Again

Just as her Future Nostalgia era took off, Dua Lipa hit the scene with blonde hair. It's easy to forget, since she's made her dark hair one of her signatures, but take a look back at Future Nostalgia's album cover for a reminder. She arrived at the 2022 Grammy Awards with long, blonde hair (courtesy of Chris Appleton, no doubt) that went past her waist. For anyone keeping up with her looks via Instagram, it's a jarring change from her last post, which still shows her with dark hair.

Lipa's new hair color — which was styled pin-straight and still showed a bit of her natural dark color at the roots — made its debut alongside a throwback Versace look. The strappy black leather outfit combined bondage details, big gold Medusa logos, and the strict lingerie-inspired tailoring that both Donatella Versace and her later brother Gianni incorporated into the line. Her tangled gold choker, which also had Medusa logos, matched the bright gold buckles on her gown.

Her dress may have looked familiar to Versace die-hards. Cindy Crawford wore the dress back in '92 at the label's Rock 'N Rule show.

Lipa isn't up for any awards tonight, but she's already Grammy royalty. Last year, she performed at the show (also in Versace) and arrived on the red carpet in a Christina Aguilera-inspired butterfly dress (also Versace, just in case you were wondering) to accept her award for Best Pop Vocal Album.
