Dua Lipa Wore a Shimmering, Shredded Backless Mini Dress

While much of the world is just tiptoeing into the new year, Dua Lipa is diving into the calendar the only way she knows how: in an eye-catching outfit that combined swathes of bare skin and shimmering sequins.

As is her usual M.O., Lipa captioned her carousel with an inexplicable, completely out-of-context soft serve cone emoji and "can u see me?" knowing full well that an outfit like this is shiny enough to catch the attention of the astronauts stationed on the International Space Station.

The new outfit shot comes in the wake of Lipa's breakup with Anwar Hadid, though sources assure fans that they're bound for a reconciliation. In the meantime, it's clear that Lipa isn't slowing down when it comes to eye-catching outfits, especially after this skin-baring ensemble, a white-hot winter bikini, and the past year's obsession with crochet, whether it came in tiny bikini form or a two-piece matching set. Her 2022 metallic, diamanté-studded look might be a full 180 from the granny-inflected sex appeal of those pieces, but she's just continuing to show her followers that she's got the range on and off stage.
