While Donald Trump has been threatening protesters across the country in the wake of George Floyd’s murder, he’s also been kicking back and watching Insecure … ?

The HBO series stars writer and co-creator Issa Rae as Issa Dee and Yvonne Orji as her best friend Molly. Lately, things have been tense between the onscreen pair (like really tense!). Twitter user @shiningheaux addressed the relationship in a tweet about Sunday’s episode, writing “This is how I wanted tonight's episode of insecure to end...Damn Molly,” accompanied by a gif from The Color Purple of two young Black girls playing a clapping game in a field of flowers.

Trump liked the tweet (and has yet to unlike it) — the only “like” currently visible on his profile. Twitter reacted accordingly:

Rae herself responded to Trump’s confusing possible standom, writing, “what the fuck is this” on another user’s post.

Rae’s Lovebirds co-star Kumail Nanjiani also addressed Trump’s bizarre behavior, writing, “Well I found one thing I have in common with him: we’re both big fans of @IssaRae."

So, is Trump really invested in Molly and Issa’s friendship? We’re going to assume the like was accidental and something more along the lines of this …
