"1987 #Emmys... arriving in style," the actress captioned the snap of the former couple coordinating on the red carpet in all-black. Demi wore an off-the-shoulder black velvet gown, while Bruce opted for an extra-long jacket over his suit and bow tie. Immediately, the photo had fans feeling nostalgic, writing comments about how they made a good match. "I know things do not always work out, but still soooo cute," wrote one user, while another added: "As a young girl I used to have pictures of you two in my room you were my favorite couple. So pretty Demi." Bruce Willis Really Went Off on Monogamy When He Was Married to Demi Moore Prior to the 1987 Emmys, Demi and Bruce had only met months before at the Los Angeles premiere of Stakeout, which starred Willis and Moore's fiancé at the time Emilio Estevez. In her tell-all Inside Out, Demi remembered that night, revealing that she initially thought Bruce was "kind of a jerk,” but at the afterparty, she changed her mind about him. "Bruce was so gallant — in his own boisterous way, a real gentleman," she wrote about their interaction later that night. He got her number and four months later, they eloped in Vegas with their first child, Rumer, on the way. They divorced in 2000, but the exes are still friendly to this day, and even spent the beginning of quarantine together with their three daughters — Rumer, Scout, and Tallulah — at their family home in Hailey, Idaho. “It’s a funny thing to say, but I’m very proud of our divorce,” Demi wrote in her memoir. “It wasn’t easy at first, but we managed to move the heart of our relationship, the heart of what created our family, into something new that gave the girls a loving, supportive environment with both parents.”
