Chrissy Teigen shared a devastating update about her pregnancy. Alongside a series of photos of her in the hospital, Teigen shared the news that they lost the baby. "We are shocked and in the kind of deep pain you only hear about, the kind of pain we’ve never felt before. We were never able to stop the bleeding and give our baby the fluids he needed, despite bags and bags of blood transfusions. It just wasn’t enough," she said.

She then went on to say that though they hadn't named their other children this early, they had picked a name for this one: Jack.  "Jack worked so hard to be a part of our little family, and he will be, forever," she wrote. "To our Jack - I’m so sorry that the first few moments of your life were met with so many complications, that we couldn’t give you the home you needed to survive.  We will always love you."

Teigen also went on to say that she and her family will deal with the loss together. "We are so grateful for the life we have, for our wonderful babies Luna and Miles, for all the amazing things we’ve been able to experience.  But every day can’t be full of sunshine.  On this darkest of days, we will grieve, we will cry our eyes out. But we will hug and love each other harder and get through it."

Teigen and her husband John Legend announced the news that they were expecting a third child in Legend's music video for "Wild". In the weeks following, Teigen endured some major bleeding that caused her to be on strict bed rest and ultimately led to her hospital stay.

Throughout that time, Teigen kept fans informed about everything she was going through even explaining the bleeding in detail. After she announced that she would be leaving the hospital "with no baby," hundreds flooded her comments to share their support for her and to thank her for sharing the journey – one that so many women have been through.

We're sending love to Teigen, Legend, and their family.
