InStyle's editorial guidelines Published on September 28, 2021 Pin Share Tweet Email As the seasons change and the weather begins to cool down a bit, we have plenty of celebrities serving us with transitional fashion inspiration. Of course Blake Lively is one of said celebs. On Monday, the Gossip Girl alum went on a stroll in Manhattan with her husband Ryan Reynolds wearing the perfect summer-into-fall transitional outfit. The actress wore a blue and white picnic-cloth patterned knee-length, shift dress. Sounds kind of summery right? Well, that's where she brilliantly paired the smock with an ankle-length matching blue cardigan and white chunky Christian Louboutin boots for a seamless autumnal twist. She kept some summer sunshine with a marigold yellow lace peekaboo bra moment. Genius. Blake Lively. Backgrid The A Simple Favor star — who also carried a brown leather bag and wore her hair in a messy, side-swept braid — walked hand-in-hand with Reynolds, who wore a sheer light gray button down with a simple print over a white tank top, paired with gray-wash jeans and white sneakers. The Green Lantern co-stars are practically known for their Manhattan mid-day walks, serving us iconic couple looks. Another thing this couple does absurdly well? Trolling (obviously). Last month for Blake's birthday, Ryan had a very subtle way of trolling his wife of nearly 10 years, and it involved Mariah Carey. The "All I Want For Christmas is You" superstar reposted Reynolds' TikTok video lip syncing her song "Fantasy" with a side-by-side video with her joining. Reynolds posted the Instagram to his story, writing "My favorite thing that's ever happened on August 25th," which is also his wife's birthday. Awkward. Was this page helpful?
