Bella Hadid Wore a Completely Sheer Halter Gown
Paris Fashion Week is coming to a close, but a microtrend that's already making headlines is sheer — and Bella Hadid is leading the charge. After a super-short version at Coperni, she walked the Ludovic de Saint-Sernin runway wearing a flowing sheer halter gown that was completely see-through, save a few panels on the skirt and bold, curvilinear seams tracing up her body. Her signature chocolate-brown hair was kept straight and her makeup was clean and minimal, letting the dress take the spotlight.
Hadid shared the look on Instagram, writing a sweet message to the designer, who won the LVMH Prize four years ago. It was an achievement that he wrote about in his caption, which Bella reposted along with her own.
"Support the people you LOVE🖤🙏🏽🖤," she wrote alongside a short clip of her turn on the catwalk. "Thank You Ludovic. I🖤You!"
Bella's sister, Gigi also walked the show, according to WWD, which Saint-Sernin titled "All the Rumors Are True" — and walked in himself. Known for creating genderless clothing, he cited himself as his muse this season.
"It's about taking control of the narrative. I thought it would be fun to play with this concept of celebrity culture — the private versus public person [which a designer becomes] — and what people assume when they see your look," he said.
LDSS is known for skimpy, Instagram-beloved pieces that show off plenty of skin and his latest collection kept in that M.O., which is evident in Bella's gown, along with the collection's low-slung pants, chainmail bra tops, and deep-V dresses.
