Bella Hadid Just Landed Her First Major Acting Role

Bella Hadid's long list of accomplishments is already quite impressive — fashion It girl, world-famous supermodel, and TikTok aficionado, to name a few — but it looks like the multihyphenate doesn't plan on slowing down any time soon. In fact, Bella's newest venture is taking her to an entirely new realm: acting in the Hulu series Ramy.

The supermodel took to Instagram on April 1 to share the news with her 50.6 million followers, captioning a photo of the announcement with, "best cast, best crew, best show. Honored and excited," while tagging the show's creator and titular character, Ramy Youssef. Bella also encouraged fans to get caught up on the series before the new season drops, adding, "if you haven't watched the first two seasons…. Go. Run. Now."

Although the older Hadid sister is no stranger to cameras (she did make appearances in Real Housewives of Beverly Hills back in the day, after all), the new recurring role in the Emmy-nominated scripted comedy marks the celebrity's true acting debut.

Ramy, which is based loosely on Youssef's life, explores what it's like to be caught between a religious community that believes life is a moral test and a millennial generation that doubts an afterlife even exists. It's currently unknown whether Bella will play herself or a new character in Ramy's third season — most details, including a release date, have yet to be released — but production for the episodes is currently underway.

The news of Bella's induction into acting follows her recent Vogue cover, where got candid about her relationship with the fashion industry. "Fashion can make you or break you," Bella said. "And if it makes you, you have to make a conscious effort every day for it not to break you. There's always a bit of grief in love."
