The actress, who is in N.Y.C. for Saturday Night Live rehearsals, stepped out wearing a green tartan mini skirt, reminiscent of the ones worn by the original cast during their time at Constance on the Upper East Side. Of course, this wasn't a costume so she made some noticeable modern upgrades to the look with an oversized black blazer, a pair of studded black ankle boots and an orange top. She also supported local bookstores with her tote. She wore the same one just yesterday, when she was spotted out and about with her rumored boyfriend Malcolm McRae. Anya Taylor-Joy Considered Quitting Acting Before The Queen's Gambit It's been a huge year for the actress, but it wasn't always great. After winning a Golden Globe and an Emmy for her performance in The Queen's Gambit, she told Elle that she actually almost quit her job. "At the beginning of 2019, I was just really broken and frightened of everything, and Mia [Goth] and I were driving back from rehearsal," she added. "I turned to her and said, 'I think I'm going to quit acting. I don't think I can do this.' And I've never seen Mia look so worried in my life. She was like, 'But ... that's what you do. You can't not ... what are you talking about?' I was like, 'I think I need to back out now and just let it be and try to take care of my heart.' And she was like, 'No, that would be really bad. You can't not have the thing that is your oxygen.' I'm really glad she said that."
