InStyle's editorial guidelines Published on July 30, 2021 Pin Share Tweet Email While some celebrities galavant around the globe in summer-ready brights and retina-searing neon bathing suits, Angelina Jolie — she of blood vials and actual Maleficent — stuck to her brand and kept her summer 'fit long, goth, and understated. Stepping out in Venice, Italy, after taking in an art exhibition, Jolie wore a gauzy, floor-length grey caftan that covered her from the shoulders all the way down to her sandal-clad feet. The flowing, breezy dress featured a deep V neck that offered a peek of Jolie's camisole. She finished the look with a face mask, stud earrings, and a ring. The look comes after Jolie's ice cream cone dressing and full beekeeping suit. Splash News Angelina Jolie Elevated a Simple White T-Shirt With High-Waisted Pants and Stiletto Pumps The Venetian outing comes as Jolie and her ex-husband, Brad Pitt, made headlines as their custody battle made its way through Los Angeles courts. According to Los Angeles divorce attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan, Jolie has undoubtedly spent "hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not in the millions" on litigation — and could be facing even more legal fees if the process continues. "And it could be more if they start over again," Kaplan told Us Weekly. "Nothing is more expensive than a hotly contested custody [dispute]. I'm sure both of these people can afford to [keep litigating], which is not the reason to do it, but that's probably not going to be a major factor for either of them given their respective wealth." Last week, the California Court of Appeal approved Jolie's petition to remove Judge John W. Ouderkirk from the case, citing his "ongoing business and professional relationships" with Pitt's legal team. "The case has been sent back to the Los Angeles Superior Court," a source said. "Judge Ouderkirk is no longer involved and Angelina is grateful to seek a fair decision regarding custody for the children." Was this page helpful? Thanks for your feedback! Tell us why! Other Submit
