InStyle's editorial guidelines Published on October 4, 2021 @ 07:53AM Pin Share Tweet Email It's been a minute since Amal and George Clooney stepped out together on the red carpet, and upon their return at The Tender Bar premiere on Sunday night, Amal took her typical elegant style to an edgier place. In the past, the human rights lawyer has gone for looks that are more refined than risqué (dresses in classic silhouettes, stealth-chic power suits), but emerging from quarantine is seemingly a new-fashioned Amal and we are here for it. Dressed in a semi-sheer black and silver gown, Amal not only flashed a hint of her legs beneath the high-low hemline, but also offered a subtle peek at her midriff with cutouts on each side and in the back. The dress's bodice was outlined in black patent leather, and she accessorized with a reflective clutch, diamond drop earrings, and the blingiest pair stilettos adorned with all the crystals. She wore her hair down in a bouncy blowout and parted to the side. As for George? Like the gentleman he is, he let Amal steal the spotlight, and opted for a simple charcoal gray suit with a black button-up shirt underneath. Amal Clooney Stepped Out for a Rare Street Style Moment in Lake Como At the premiere, George and Amal spoke to Entertainment Tonight about how their family's new normal amid the pandemic. "It was fine. You just feel so bad for the world and all of that, you know? But our kids are 4 and they were two and a half when it started so you know, they weren't missing out on much out in the world," George revealed, jokingly adding: "So, you know, I didn't have to teach them trigonometry at home." "He's mainly teaching pranks for the time being," Amal interjected. "But we'll see if it develops." Defending his teachings, George chimed in: "Well, I think those can really pay off over time."
