Adele Is Reportedly Dating British Rapper Skepta

UPDATE: Months after fans began piecing together clues about their rumored relationship, a source confirmed to People that Adele is dating British rapper Skepta.

"They run in the same circles in London, and she's having fun," the source said, adding that "things have been heating up" between the two in recent months.

We may be waiting a while longer for a new Adele album, but in the meantime, fans are convinced they've sussed out some news on the singer's love life.

Fans have been theorizing that she's dating British rapper Skepta, thanks to some seemingly flirty Instagram comments over the weekend. On Sunday, the singer shared two photos on Instagram of herself at home, singing along to her 2016 Glastonbury Music Festival performance broadcast on BBC.

Skepta commented on the photos, writing, "Finally got your Instagram password lol" — to which Adele responded with a winking emoji and a red heart emoji.

Naturally, eagle-eyed fans took note of the interaction, with some commenting to ask if Skepta had taken the photos.

Neither Adele nor Skepta have commented on their rumored romance, but reports about the two possibly dating first floated around last October, several months after Adele separated from Simon Konecki.

"Adele and Skepta have been there for each other a lot after both their relationships split up. They have a close bond and there’s definitely a special connection," a source told The Sun at the time. "They’re spending more and more time together. Some of their friends are hoping and predicting they could end up being a great couple one day."

Still, it's entirely possible the two are just friends — Skepta previously spoke about his friendship with Adele back in 2016, telling Evening Standard magazine, "Adele texts me all the time and keeps me in check. She speaks to me about how things are going."

Either way, we'll keep our fingers crossed for an Adele/Skepta collaboration on the upcoming album.
