A potent vitamin C serum is one of the most sworn-by skincare products in the beauty industry due to the ingredient’s ability to treat a range of concerns from dull to aging skin. If your skin is sensitive like mine, and you’ve attempted to work one of these serums into your regimen, you may have noticed anything from a slight tingle to an overall facial-burning sensation. Vitamin C is no weak substance, and the powerful claims behind it don’t come easy. I eventually felt the need to throw in the towel on the countless serums I tried, at times preferring my lackluster skin to a host of inflammation. But when one brand released a vitamin C serum for those with unpredictable skin like mine, I decided to try again.

I’m a long-time fan of Saint Jane Beauty’s best-selling Luxury Serum, but its latest launch called the C-Drops just may take the cake. Each bottle comes infused with 500mg of CBD that soothes on contact, and is the main reason why I’ve been so taken with the brightening serum. It calms the skin, making it the ideal companion to the highly potent 20 percent of vitamin C. Additional ingredients like kakadu plum restore hydration, while ferulic acid smooths down the skin's surface to minimize fine lines and wrinkles. Pink grapefruit, lemon peel, sweet orange, and mandarin all add a pleasing but non-irritating fragrance upon application, too.

I’m able to apply the serum both morning and night with absolutely no irritation. The lightweight formula sinks into my skin immediately, and after two weeks of use I’m seeing a noticeable difference in the overall appearance of my skin. It’s brighter, smoother, and the usual redness around my nose and chin has died down considerably. The sleek, gold-plated packaging is a stunner on my bathroom shelf and feels well-made and expensive in your hand. After the C-Drops, I follow up with the multi-correctional luxury serum, making for one unbeatable duo for glowing skin.

The C-Drops are exclusively available at Credo Beauty for $90, but I imagine it won't be long before the serum dominates the rest of the internet. Have a glance at the rest of the brand’s products, too, like the Luxury Body Serum, or CBD-infused lip glosses.
