Pharrell Williams's New Humanrace Products Aren't for Your Face

Because your body deserves skincare too.

Pharrell Williams is expanding his wheelhouse even further (which is pretty impressive for the multi-hyphenate). The award-winning producer and songwriter's product brand Humanrace is branching out into body care with two body bars that are simple, effective, and seriously good.

"We've spent the last year educating people how to take care of their skin and adhere to a routine, but we believe that the routine doesn't stop with your face, you need to care for your body too," Williams said in a press release. "Your body deserves its own time."

The Reenergizing Whiteclay Body Bar and the Energy Channeling Charcoal Body Bar are both made using a unique, soap-free formula with quality ingredients found in the brand's existing skincare products — like Snow Mushroom Extract, Kaolin Clay, and Rice Powder — to cleanse, refine, exfoliate, and smooth skin without stripping it of moisture.

It was really important to Williams and the team at Humanrace to maintain the brand's principles of putting self-care first and providing effective products that don't break down your skin barrier. "Your body is still your skin, it needs a routine and to be cared for," says Dr. Elena Jones, MD, chief dermatologist of Humanrace. And we couldn't agree more

The bars, which can be purchased starting Nov. 22, 2021, are packaged in sustainable Forest Stewardship Council-certified paper cartons and are both Vegan and free of fragrance, nuts, seeds, rocks, or plastic microbeads. The bars will launch alongside a Ceramic Body Bar dish, handcrafted in Arita, Japan, that is bisque fired and hand-glazed to continue the tradition of porcelain creation.

And according to Humanrace's president Rachel Muscat, the bars are just the beginning of the newbody care category.

"The Body Bars mark Humanrace's latest entry into a new category," Muscat said in the press release. "We're continuing to expand how you can care for your well being by offering a routine for your body. I'm proud of the work we've done to enter the body care category, and we're excited to show the world what's next."

Williams originally launched Humanrace in 2020 with three genderless, vegan, and sustainable hero skincare products: Rice PowderCleanser, Lotus Enzyme Exfoliator, and Humidifying Cream, to create a simplified, safe routine. The brand has also dabbled in footwear and apparel, thanks to Williams longtime partnership with Adidas.

The Body Bars ($16 each) and Ceramic Dish ($75) will launch on Nov. 22, exclusively at humanrace.com.
