This 4-Minute Skincare Treatment Clears My Pores Almost Instantly
We all want what we can't have, right?
Personally, I'd love if a cool $20 million could just magically find its way into my bank account, or if I could randomly stumble upon a dream home in a remote location in Jamaica that I just so happened to have the keys for. Or, or... if I could get instantly clear skin whenever my face decides to act up.
Oh wait, I can get pretty close to the latter, all thanks to Peter Thomas Roth.
For the past few years I've turned to the brand's Peptide 21 Amino Acid Exfoliating Peel Pads at night whenever I've noticed a breakout coming on. By morning, my skin has always appeared significantly smoother and clearer.
Much to my delight, the same can be said about one of the brand's newest launches: the Pro Strength Microdermabrasion Blackhead Eliminator — except with this product, I see results almost instantly.
To shop: $68; sephora.com
Whenever my skin's texture is feeling a little off or I notice a cluster of blackheads on my face, I reach for this goody, which boasts a blend of salicylic acid and exfoliating crystals to offer both chemical and physical exfoliation.
To get the treatment going, I start off by cleansing my face to give my skin a clean slate. Next, I grab a towel and dry my face off and gently apply the Blackhead Eliminator all over (although sometimes I will spot treat).
I let it sit on my skin and work it's magic for anywhere between one to four minutes. Once time's up, I wet my hands and rub it in in a circular motion to reap the benefits of the physical exfoliant, then rinse.

Instantly, the majority of those pesky blackheads on my nose and all around my face vanish. And it only gets better with continued use.
So while spending nearly $70 on a skincare product can seem like a splurge, the cost of having instantly clear skin is priceless.
I promise it's worth it.
The Splurge is our recurring column dedicated to expensive beauty products that are worth it. This week, why we're rebuying Peter Thomas Roth PRO Strength Microdermabrasion Blackhead Eliminator despite the $68 price tag.
