I Feel a Rare Moment of Peace When I Throw This CBD Bath Bomb in My Tub

It also soothes my sore back.

For the past eight months, my bed has been moonlighting as my desk.

While I have six pillows propping me up at all times, the bamboo filling doesn't exactly provide enough lumbar support. Needless to say, my back is constantly sore, and doing a series of cat cow stretches isn't cutting it.

So, I've been taking advantage of the fact that I have a full-size tub in my NYC apartment by taking a lot of hot baths.

A soak in the tub not only temporarily gives me a rare moment of peace and relaxation, it also helps relieve some of the back pain I have from slouching and being hunched over my laptop while working from my bed.

Especially when I toss in a Happy Dance's Stress Away CBD Bath Bomb.

In addition to 60 MG of CBD, the cubes contain ginger and grapefruit essential oils, two scents known to be uplifting and refreshing, as well as moisturizing coconut oil and cocoa butter.

After being named the buzziest beauty ingredient in 2018, the CBD market is now oversaturated. Now, there are a ton of cannabinoid-infused bath products out there, and I've found Happy Dance's to be one of the most effective I've tried.

While I don't think CBD is a cure all, it's definitely given me a moment of relieve from muscle aches and pain. And these essential oils definitely help me calm down after being online all day, making it tough to escape the gloom and doom of the 2020 news cycle.

So, if I don't text you back right away, it's because I'm probably in my tub.

Bonus: the coconut oil and cocoa butter leave my entire body feeling soft, smooth, and hydrated. I even skip slathering on body lotion after getting out of the tub.

Another reason why this bath bomb makes me feel chill is because the brand, created by actress Kristen Bell in collaboration with luxury CBD brand Lord Jones, gives back to communities disproportionally charged in minor drug-related crimes. Happy Dance donates 1% of its revenue to A New Way of Life Re‑Entry Project, a Black-owned, LA-based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides housing, pro bono legal services, case management, and leadership development for women rebuilding their lives after serving prison sentences.

Good to Go used to be the column where we'd share the beauty products we can't travel without. But while travel's off the table, we'll be focusing on products that make us feel good in quarantine. This month, why I'm obsessed with Happy Dance's Stress Away CBD Bath Bomb.
