Hand Sanitizer Has Destroyed My Skin — But This Cream Is Coming to the Rescue
Since getting vaccinated, I've started to feel more comfortable going back outside to eat at restaurants, taking the train (mostly during off-peak hours), and going on short flight when necessary. However, one thing that hasn't changed is the fact that I have wipes and every type of sanitizer at the ready.
That said, my hands have taken a beating since March 2020 — and it's not pretty.
I'm definitely one to always have a hand cream on deck, but with the way my skin is set up right now, I needed something that was less watery and more nourishing.
Lucky for me, I found it.

When I first tried this hand cream, I was not surprised in the least that it gets the job done (as all of Dr. Barbara Sturm products do). To work its magic, this thick, ultra-rich cream uses a ceramide complex to help protect and strengthen your skin barrier, while vitamin E and other antioxidants help to prevent free radical damage.
When it comes down to actually hydrating the skin, aloe, hyaluronic acid, and prickly pear work together to replenish moisture. And if you're looking for the anti-aging ingredient, daisy flower extract also helps to even out skin tone.

Any time I sanitize my hands with an alcohol-based cleanser, I always make sure to apply this cream straight afterwards and my skin appreciates it.
Also, don't tell my hands, but I also use it on my arms, feet, and any other body part that needs a little extra moisture whenever I'm on the go.
Good to Go is the column where we share the beauty products we can't travel without. But while travel's (kind of still) off the table, we'll be focusing on products that make us feel good in the mean time. This month, why I'm obsessed with Dr. Barbara Sturm's Super Anti-Aging Hand Cream.
