Olympian Allyson Felix Reveals Her Go-To Drugstore Beauty Products
Superstar mom and athlete Allyson Felix just slayed at the Met Gala in a Fendi ballgown, yet one of her best accessories was her flawless skin. So what does she do to maintain that healthy glow? Less than you probably think.
When I sat down with Felix for a virtual chat with :BLACKPRINT Meredith, Felix revealed just how important it was to nourish yourself from the inside out. "I try to make time for myself," Felix says. "I start my day with a gratitude journal and just have some quiet time for me before my day starts."
The athletic beauty — who is considering an appearance at next year's World Championships and is mom to tot Camryn Grace — has her own shoe brand called Saysh, and is part of an original content series with BD on Location.
Needless to say she doesn't have time for an extensive skincare routine. "It's really basic," says Felix. "I try to keep my skin moisturized. I use Cetaphil. I like Olay's products. I'm out in the sun every day competing and training, so sunscreen is very important and I'm drinking lots of water. I think a lot of it comes from diet and trying to eat the right things."

Skincare aside, Felix has triumphed over a postponed Olympic games, competing during a pandemic, fought back against Nike when they cut her coins down 70% after giving birth, and got back into world class athlete condition to win more Olympic medals than any other track athlete in history.
She can seemingly do anything, so if she says skincare should be basic, then so be it.
