While the focus of NYFW is the understandably the clothes, the fashion oozes right down to the models' fingertips. So, what will everyone's hands look like next season? From subtle your-nails-but-better polish shades to bold French tips, there are options for every manicure vibe. And the good new is that unlike the garments seen on the runways, you don't have to wait until next season to wear these looks. A Comprehensive Guide to Every Type of Manicure 01 of 12 Jason Wu To compliment the colorful floral-inspired makeup created by Diane Kendal using Jason Wu Beauty products, legendary manicurist Deborah Lippmann went with a neutral nail using Brand New Day from her namesake nail polish line. The barely-there nude has a sheer, your-nails-but-better look. 02 of 12 Collina Strada Soraya Zaman If Collina Strada's kaleidoscopic collection is giving you fairy garden, that's exactly what the designer was going for. Makeup artist Allie Smith added colorful accents to the models' ears and hands using MAC products, including Glitter, Pigments, Eyeshadows, Paintsticks, and Cream Color Base. 03 of 12 Peter Do This chic wavy design was created by nail artist Jin Soon Choi using her brand's nail polishes in Dew and Absolute Black. At LaQuan Smith, models wore stiletto nails with angled black tips. 05 of 12 Brandon Maxwell Deborah Lippmann A sheer pink polish is to spring, as an oxblood one is to fall. Legendary manicurist Deborah Lippmann created a pretty sheer manicure for Brandon Maxwell using the shade Love At First Sight from her namesake nail polish line. 06 of 12 Rebecca Minkoff Courtesy of KISS Nails Studs, zippers, and fringe are synonymous with NYC fashion, so KISS brand ambassador Gina Edwards incorporated them into the manicures for Rebecca Minkoff's 20th anniversary collection, inspired by her label's hometown. The nail artist used the brand's Salon Acrylic Natural Nails in Crystal and ImPRESS Press-On Manicure in Evanesce to create the looks. 07 of 12 Naeem Khan OPI A classic red manicure is always a good idea. If you're in the market for a new go-to polish, OPI's Art Walk in Suzie's Shoes is a long-wear option that stays chip-free for days. 08 of 12 Michel Kors The French manicure also appeared on the Michael Kors runway. This time, nail artist Jin Soon Choi gave models almond-shaped white tips using the shade Absolute White from her nail polish collection. 09 of 12 Rodarte Pasha Nowrouzi Nail artist Julie Kandalec looked to the sky for Rodarte's nail looks. "I was Inspired by the various shades of the sun as it evolves both during sunrise and sunset over the desert," she says.Kandalec used Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer shades of "creamy nude, crisp tan, opalescent lilac, butter yellow, and apricot as well as shimmery white and pink," to create a handful of different manicures, then topped them off with 3D stars and half-crescent moons. 10 of 12 Rodarte Pasha Nowrouzi In addition to the mystical manicures, Kandalec created a zebra stripe look to match one model's eye makeup motif. 11 of 12 Tory Burch Courtesy of Tory Burch Tory Burch kept things simple with a taupe manicure and oxblood pedicure. To finish off the looks, CND created five different over-the-top manicures, including these blue and pink chrome nails.
