Megan Thee Stallion's '90s Supermodel Lip Was Created With These 3 Under-$10 Products
There are very few celebrities who can transcend and shapeshift through the decades like Megan Thee Stallion. She gave '50s Hollywood Glam à la Marilyn Monroe at the Met Gala, '90s Pamela Anderson with a blonde blowout in an Instagram post over the weekend, early 2000s mallrat via Von Dutch back in 2020, 2010s through the use of hair tinsel in February, and most recently, the rapper channeled '90s supermodels at the Grammys.
The rapper and current face of Revlon arrived on the awards show red carpet in a one-shoulder, jewel-trimmed, high-slit, cheetah-print dress. Megan Thee Stallion's entire look was a show-stopper but I was personally mesmerized by her perfectly executed, nostalgic '90s supermodel lip. Megan Thee Stallion has three Grammys under her belt, and although she wasn't up for any awards this year, she graced the red carpet, and later, co-presented the best new artist award alongside Dua Lipa in matching outfits.
Megan's makeup for the night was a smokey cat eye, pristine complexion, and contrasting lip look reminiscent of Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford, and Christy Turlington in the '90s. According to Revlon, celebrity makeup artist Lauren Child used three products from the brand: the ColorStay Lip Liner, Super Lustrous Lipstick, and Super Lustrous the Gloss.
If you glance quickly at the musician's Instagram account, you'll see that a good lip liner is a staple in her makeup bag. As such, Child started by lining Megan's lips with the lip liner in Chocolate, a satiny brown shade. She then used the Revlon lipstick in a peachy, neutral shade called Bare It All before topping Megan's lips off with lip gloss in a shimmery peach hue called Sandstorm.
