Finding beauty products worth a permanent spot on your vanity shelf isn’t easy. I’ve gone through tons of trial and error until discovering just a handful of skincare saviors that keep my complexion happy — and even so, I still swap out a product or two occasionally. But when it comes to my morning moisturizer, I’ve definitely found the one, and apparently I'm not alone. Mario Badescu Buttermilk Moisturizer is spiking in sales on Amazon right now, which means other shoppers have most likely discovered its skin-transforming secrets, too.

The moisturizer has been part of my morning routine for the past five years — I discovered the product during an Amazon search for lightweight moisturizers for my oily and acne-prone skin. Its product description, which says it’s a “soothing and anti-inflammatory daily moisturizer,” sounded just right. And it is — it’s light, fresh, and reminds me of the type of lotion used during a facial. But more than that, it’s hydrating without being greasy, and has added benefits: It contains lactic acid, which reduces fine lines and discoloration. So it’s doing everything I need it to, plus more.

Not to mention, it even has the backing of supermodel Heidi Klum. “I use it on my face. It’s very light," Klum told Today in 2018. "When I use very rich creams, I break out in pimples. I’ve been using it for years. It doesn’t clog my pores.”

While the product is still racking up reviews on Amazon, shoppers who have tried it rave that it’s changed their skin texture for the better. “Not sure if it's from this product use, but I've received a lot of positive comments about how young I look lately… hmm,” one customer wrote.

I could sing the praises of Mario Badescu’s Buttermilk Moisturizer all day — but if it sounds like something your skin needs, you might just want to add it to your cart and see the benefits for yourself.
