Finally, A Cream Blush That Doesn't Melt Off My Face in The Middle of The Day

Trust me, I've tried them all.

THE SPLURGE: I'm Extremely Picky About Blush – Here's Why This $76 One Is My Go-To for Spring

Cream blush is a polarizing makeup product — while it adds a natural, lived-in flush to the cheeks, many formulas aren't exactly long wear. While I will defend cream blush until I die (I like that they blend seamlessly into my skin and it's easier to control how much you apply), I will admit that it's annoying when they fade and/or smudge by noon.

That's why Sisley Paris' Phyto-Blush Twist has become my go-to cream blush. My favorite shade is Berry, a rich, cool-toned berry that when applied lightly adds a subtle wash of color to the cheeks — but can also be built up for a bold finish. It works well with whatever makeup look I'm going for. And if berry blush isn't your thing, Phyto-Blush Twist also comes in various shades of pink, orange, copper, and bronze.

The formula is infused with a handful of my favorite nourishing skincare ingredients, such as vitamin E and both shea and camellia oils, which give it that soft, creamy texture but also keep it from getting dry or oxidizing with your foundation. And, while the blush is technically a cream, it dries down to a powder for extra staying power.

I'll add three dots to my cheekbones and then blend it out with a Beautyblender. While I typically use a makeup sponge, I've also applied it with my fingertips and a makeup brush. The choice is truly yours because all three methods deliver the same natural finish.

Sure, at $76, Phyto-Blush Twist rings in higher than other cream blushes out there. But a formula that offers impressive, customizable color and looks just as fresh at 8pm as it did at 8am? That's truly priceless.

The Splurge is our recurring column dedicated to expensive beauty products that are worth it. This week, why we're rebuying Sisley Paris Phyto-Blush Twist despite the $76 price tag.
