This Scented Candle Is Better Than a Glass of Wine At the End Of a Long Day
It takes the edge off, and then some.
I don't know what's been in the air these past few weeks, but everything has just felt like too much lately.
While it seems like we're (hopefully) going to get a reprieve from this whole COVID-19 fiasco soon, I still feel super sluggish. And although I thought my never-ending cyclical feeling of stress turning into exhaustion would part once spring came around, despite all the extra hours of sunlight, I've still been feeling so drained by the end of the day.
At the start of the pandemic, I'd pour out a glass of wine on Fridays after work to help myself wind down. But since I'm a pretty light drinker and typically only enjoyed alcohol in social settings during the before days, this whole ritual fell off pretty quickly. And to be honest, I haven't been drinking much of anything besides water and juice at home. In fact, I made a margarita the other day and after about two or three sips I started feeling some type of way — but that's a story for another day.
Anywho, with a stockpile of scented candles in my closet, I decided to start burning them at the end of each day, and it's made such a difference. They truly help me to sit back and finally relax. But any candle fiend knows that not all scented candles are made equal, and while I love my collection, there's one that's got all my attention right now: Pattern's new Scented Candle.
I'm not sure if it's the fact that I've been binge-watching (and rewatching, and then rewatching once more) my favorite show Girlfriends, or if it's the delicious scent — maybe it's both. But it's everything and then some.

A gorgeous and calming blend of neroli, rose, and patchouli create a sweet, floral, but not overpowering atmosphere that helps me to melt into my couch and unwind after a wild day. And once I hit play on some music, I'm in pure bliss.
What makes it even better is that the soy-blend wax burns for up to 60 hours, so me and Ms. Scented Candle are going to be in it for the long-haul.

Since Girlfriends got canceled in the middle of season eight (yeah, I'm still mad about it 13 years later!) we'll never know if Aaron ever actually returned home, what happened to Lynn's music career, if there were any more trips to Home Depot, or what's next for The J Spot — but shoot, Joan Carol Clayton (aka the gorgeous Tracee Ellis Ross) sure did the damn thing with this new candle.
Good to Go used to be the column where we'd share the beauty products we can't travel without. But while travel's off the table, we'll be focusing on products that make us feel good in quarantine. This month, why I'm obsessed with Pattern's new Scented Candle.
