I no longer have a lipstick hoarding problem.

Good to Go is our new column where we share the beauty products we can't travel without. This month, why Rouje's Lip Palette is the only lip product you need to keep in your bag.

I have a few ride-or-die lip colors, but somehow, the bottom of my bag always winds up turning into a lipstick graveyard. At any given time, I'm usually carrying three or four almost identical rosy nudes, and a bold berry from a random day when I was feeling spicy. And while most of these lipsticks look the same, believe me, they're very different. For example: I need a more hydrating formula when my lips are in the middle of a dry spell, and a matte, opaque one when I'm in the mood for a color with more coverage.

To no one's surprise, I have the exact same approach to packing makeup for trips. If I'm going on a three-day vacation, I'll take an average of six lipsticks with me. Yes, I bring more lipstick options than underwear. But as an extremely organized person with a type-A personality, I like to be prepared. Being stuck with one lipstick color, or worse, the tube snapping in half, is one of my personal travel nightmares.

That's why I was instantly drawn to Rouje's Les 4 Rouje Lip Palette. I'll admit, I initially wanted to get my hands on one after seeing the chic, vintage-inspired gold compact all over Instagram, but I also needed to end my lipstick hoarding problem. Luckily, this palette is more than just ridiculously good-looking. The four shades are all essentials, and you're likely to use every single one. They range from neutral to bold, and can be mixed-and-matched to suit your skin tone or how bold of a lip you want. As for the formula, it's matte, but not drying, and has buildable coverage that also works well as a cheek stain.

Depending on how you wear the palette's four shades, the color combinations are like having over 10 lipsticks on you at once. As for me, I'm a fan of the blush pink and oxblood shades alone or together for a muted berry.

Along with streamlining the products I take with me, this palette gives me more options than carrying around a handful of lipstick tubes. So this palette always comes with me — even if I'm not limited to jamming my entire makeup and skincare routine into a TSA-mandated Ziploc bag.
