You won't have to worry about it accidentally squirting all over your clothes, either.

Good to Go is our latest column where we share the beauty products we can't travel without. This month, why Bite's Toothpaste Bits are great for on-the-go use — and reducing plastic waste.

If there's one thing I hate to pack when I'm heading out for a trip, it's toothpaste.

Obviously it's essential, but fitting it in my toiletry bag is always a pain. If I pack a full-size tube, there's never enough space for the rest of my products, and I have to put the entire pouch in my checked luggage (which means there's a high chance of it squirting everywhere). If I bring a smaller tube, it won't always last for my entire trip, depending on how long I'm out of town.

On top of that, there's also the fact that traditional toothpaste packaging isn't exactly sustainable.

That's why Bite Toothpaste Bits are a total game-changer for anyone who's on-the-go, or just wants to make their morning and nighttime routines a little more environmentally-friendly.

These bits are made with all-natural, vegan ingredients, and the formula is free of sulfates, parabens, and artificial flavors. Plus, the packaging — made out from glass and aluminum — is 100% plastic-free, and completely recyclable. The only catch is that you have to get used to using a solid toothpaste.

When I first gave the tabs a try, it kind of tripped me out. To turn the bit into a foam, you first have to bite into it a few times to get it going, then brush your teeth as normal with a wet toothbrush. The thought of having to literally chomp into something without swallowing it afterwards was definitely weird, but by the second day, I had gotten used to the new routine.

Aside from getting over this very minor hump, there are so many pros to using this product. Along with the all-natural formula and recyclable packaging, the liquid-free bottle can go in your carry-on bag and won't spill onto your clothes. Plus, it's small enough to easily pack into my toiletry bag — or you can take out as many tabs as you need for your trip and leave the bottle at home.

And yes, it works just as well as any other natural toothpaste — leaving you with that full-mouth minty clean feeling after every use.
