The year 2020 will forever be remembered for a number of reasons, including all of the celebrity beauty brands it's birthed.

But celeb lines aren't the only beauty products the internet wouldn't stop talking about in 2020.
Since COVID-19 was declared a global pandemic in March, forcing many of us to stay and work from home for the rest of the year, many people have shifted from full-on glam looks to products infused with ingredients found in skincare products to boost skin health. Take Ilia's Super Serum Skin Tint, a foundation-serum-SPF hybrid, for example.
Speaking of skincare, with professional facials out of the question during lockdown, people have been taking the opportunity to improve their areas of concern with at-home treatments like NuFACE's mircocurrent facial device as well as The Ordinary's intense exfoliating chemical peel. And of course, sharing their results on Instagram and TikTok.
As for hair, well, this year has been rough. With salons closed for several months, we all became our own hairstylists. Luckily, at-home root touch up sprays and powders are virtually impossible to mess up.

Supreme x Pat McGrath Labs Lipstick
The hottest Supreme drop of 2020 is the NYC streetwear brand's collaboration with legendary makeup artist Pat McGrath. Supreme's iconic red logo got the lipstick treatment in September, and the limited edition shade sold out in just eight second and hasn't been restocked since. According to resale site stockx.com, the lipstick's resale price averages at $124. However, McGrath's MatteTrance Lipstick in Elson is a good consolation shade.
Humanrace Humidifying Cream
Just like everything else Pharrell touches, his Humanrace skincare line is a hit. The collection sold out when it launched in November, but there will be a restock on Dec. 8. Out of the three products, the Humidifying Cream has quickly become a fan favorite. It's formulated with powerhouse ingredients like squalane and snow mushroom extract, which offer deep and long-lasting hydration. Pharrell kept sustainability in mind when developing the products, too. All of the containers are refillable and fully recyclable.

When salons were forced to temporarily close because many parts of the country went into lockdown in an effort to slow the spread of COVID-19 this spring, many of us became our own colorists. Temporary root touch-up products like L'Oréal Paris' Magic Root Cover Up spray became hot commodities, because they're a risk-free way to cover up grays or dark regrowth without pissing off your colorist. Even celebs like Kelly Ripa and Eva Longoria have publicly sang this spray's praises. It comes in eight shades, including warm and cool undertones for blondes and brunettes.

Thanks to TikTok and skincare influencers like Hyram, this unassuming, affordable drugstore cleanser is having a moment. And while it's getting hard to keep track of all of the launches, Gomez's makeup collection stands out for its message of positivity and the inclusivity present in the products' shade ranges, as well as the brand's campaign images. This liquid blush is a fan-favorite product from the line, with eight shades that come in matte and radiant finishes. The long-lasting, buildable formula offers high pigment, but feels weightless on the skin.

Speaking of celeb beauty lines, Fenty Skin was arguably the most-anticipated launch of 2020. While critics and dermatologists pointed out that the fragrance in the formulas might be irritating for some, Rihanna's effort to change the narrative of Black people not needing to wear sunscreen can't be ignored.
