Ariana DeBose's Historic Award Show Glam Was Thanks to This Celeb- and TikTok- Favorite Brand

I am still wrapping my head around last night's Oscars ceremony. There was Kristen Stewart in short shorts, a shirtless Timothée Chalamet, and of course… the slap that broke the Internet. Despite all of the drama, I'd like to take this moment to focus on and celebrate Ariana DeBose, who made history by winning the Academy Award for best supporting actress for her role as Anita in West Side Story. The actress' glam for the big day was almost entirely thanks to the TikTok- and celebrity-loved brand Charlotte Tilbury.

DeBose's well-deserved win is actually historic in three ways: She is the second Latina to win an Oscar, the first openly queer person to win an acting Oscar, and she and actress Rita Moreno are the first pair of women to win the award for the same role. In preparation for the big night, DeBose's makeup artist Andréa Tiller relied almost exclusively on beloved Charlotte Tilbury products. In fact, according to the brand, the actress used 14 of its products.

"Ari's Oscar makeup is inspired by her iconic Valentino red carpet outfit and her overall essence and attitude, which I really admire and wanted to represent; bold, playful, sexy, and classy," Tiller said to a brand representative. "I kept the skin subtle and glowy, the lips luscious and sheer, and the eyes bold and confident with a smokey winged eyeliner."

Used on DeBose as well as other Oscar winners and celebrities, including Jessica Chastain and Caitriona Balfe, the Pillow Talk Multi-Glow Highlighter is the newest product from the brand. The multi-shade highlighting palette won't be available to purchase until March 31, but all of the other Charlotte Tilbury products used on DeBose are available now on the brand's website: Magic Serum Crystal Elixir, Magic Cream, Beautiful Skin Foundation, Lip Cheat, and many others.

A lot of Charlotte Tilbury products get a ton of attention, but one that is relatively under the radar is the Magic Serum Crystal Elixir used on DeBose. The star ingredient is polyglutamic acid which is 10 times more moisturizing than hyaluronic acid. It also has vitamin C, which is known for its super brightening properties.

Magic Cream

This Magic Cream moisturizer is aptly named, if you asked the dozens of celebrity fans or obsessed shoppers. The anti-aging moisturizer beloved by Amal Clooney and Billie Eilish was used to hydrate and prep DeBose's skin for the following makeup products.

Beautiful Skin Foundation

Beautiful Skin Foundation is a medium-coverage, glow-inducing product that began selling like hotcakes immediately upon its launch. It's one of the products responsible for DeBose's flawless complexion and was also used on fellow Oscar winner Billie Eilish.

Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk

If my memory serves me right, Pillow Talk was first a lipstick shade that became so popular, it kicked off the creation and expansion of an entire range of products, including mascara and eyeliner. For DeBose's neutral and natural lip, Tiller used Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk 2, a slightly deeper variation of the shade made especially for medium skin tones.
