Collins's negative space cat-eye is the motivation we all need to nail the eyeliner skill. Shockingly, look is pretty easy to do. Her makeup artist Fiona Stiles used Lancôme's Grandiose Liner in Matte Noir to create the shape, and then took a very tiny, pointed cotton swab with a tiny bit of moisturizer on it to sharpen the lines and create the break in the line.
As for her super-sleek hair, the actress' stylist Gregory Russell made it look extra shiny by running Amika's Glass Action Universal Elixir through the ends of her hair after he blow-dried and straightened it with a flat iron.
Tracee Ellis Ross
"For Tracee's look, we wanted to mimic the rosy tones of the dress in her makeup," Ross's makeup artist Adam Breuchaud told InStyle. Mission accomplished, thanks to MAC's Lip Pencil in Nightingale and Pat McGrath Labs' Mattetrance Lipstick in Extravaganza.
Clare Waight Keller
The Givenchy designer kept her hair and makeup low-key so that the attention was all on her dress, which she designed BTW. Instead of using foundation, Keller's makeup artist Monika Blunder applied Glossier's Stretch Concealer all over give her complexion a flawless, but effortless finish.
Awkwafina paired her sequined lilac dress with a matching metallic smoky eye. Her makeup artist Kirin Bhatty used Urban Decay's Omen and Asphyxia eyeshadows for the base, and Stila's purple Glitter and Glow Liquid Shadow along the lash line to pick up the sparkle in her dress.
To give the Crazy Rich Asian star's undone waves more texture, her hairstylist Bobby Elliot spritzed it with Phyto Phytovolume Actif Volumizing Spray.
Welch might be the stylist behind your favorite celebs' looks, but the Voice of Style honoree knows how to have her own red carpet moment, too. Inspired by the iconic pixie cuts that Linda Evangelista and Winona Ryder wore in the '90s, Welch's hairstylist Pamela Neal used Reverie's Rake Styling Balm to set it in place, and give the style an extra shiny finish.
Harrier's earth-toned smoky eye and blown-out hair rounded out the '70s vibe of her Paco Rabanne dress. Makeup Artist of the Year honoree James Kaliardos used NARS' Mojave Quad Eyeshadow and Tom Ford Beauty's Eye Defining Pen to create the look.
Using a flat iron to get your hair super straight can dry it out. Vernon Francois kept Harrier's hair soft and hydrated by spritzing it with the Mist~Nourishing Water from his eponymous hair line before reaching for his hot tools.
Reinhart channeled Old Hollywood with her InStyle awards beauty look. Her makeup artist Sasha Borax used just three eyeshadows to create the classic smoky eye: Charlotte Tilbury's Bronzed Garnet Eyeshadow Stick on the entire eyelid and Glossier's Lid Star in Cub and Lily on the center of the lid.
The secret to doing big, bouncy waves like Reinhart's isn't investing in your own glam team. Her hairstylist Esther Vasquez told us that the key is letting the curls set. Curl the hair in sections, pin each one up, spray it with hairspray, and then let them cool.
It turns out that lipstick is the secret to Spaeny's autumnal eye makeup. Her makeup artist Loren Canby used Kat Von D's Studded Kiss Crème lipstick in Sanctuary as the base eyeshadow and layered NARS' Single Eyeshadow in Blondie on top. Canby tied the look together by mixing the Kat Von D shade with NARS' Audacious Lipstick in Kirat, and applying the concoction to Spaeny's actual lips.
Hairstylist Kylee Heath gave Spaeny's short hair some movement and texture by spraying it with Oribe's Flash Form Finishing Spray Wax.
Goldblum had two reasons to celebrate on Monday night: He was named Man of Style and it was his birthday. His hairstylist and groomer David Cox got him ready for the night with a fresh trim and shape up. Cox gave his hair some extra shine with R+Co's Wall Street Gel.
Wu's rosy makeup and soft waves tied her all-around romantic look together. Makeup artist Molly Greenwald used two blushes to give the star's complexion a soft flush. First, she applied NARS' The Multiple in G-Spot with a damp BeautyBlender and buffed Dior's Glow Blush over it.
The Crazy Rich Asians star actually debuted a new cut at the InStyle awards. Her hairstylist Derek Yuen cut off two inches of Wu's hair, giving her a fresh blunt lob. After curling Wu's hair with an iron, Yuen ran Bumble and bumble's Hairdresser's Invisible Oil through it to give the waves a piece-y finish.
