The SAG Awards After-Parties
Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey
At the 14th annual SAG awards, Hollywood paid tribute to the best performances of 2007 and provided style watchers with plenty of glamour. But after stars like Kate Hudson and Matthew McConaughey had helped hand out all the trophies-and hammed it up for the cameras backstage-it was time for the post-ceremony celebration to begin-even if it only lasted a brief while. "I've got to wake up very very early to work," Hudson said during her short stay at the People magazine/Entertainment Industry Foundation bash. "I'm a working girl and I've got a son. I can't be up too late!"
Ellen Pompeo and Rebecca Gayheart
Ellen Pompeo (in Nina Ricci) and Rebecca Gayheart (in Marchesa) left their husbands on the sidelines as they surveyed the couture crowd at the People party. Who topped Pompeo's best dressed list? "Oh my goodness! I think Kate Hudson looks amazing! She always looks beautiful, and she looks gorgeous tonight," the Grey's Anatomy star declared.
Christina Applegate & More!
Glamourous girls Christina Applegate (in Elie Saab), Sara Ramirez (in Angel Sanchez), Anna Ortiz (in Pamela Denis) and America Ferrera (in Monique Lhuillier) got together over a glass of champagne to talk about the evening's winners at the People party. "I'm still waiting to meet Javier Bardem," said an excited Ramirez. "I'm hoping that he'll be the highlight of the night!"
Jamie-Lynn Sigler and Robert Iler
Jamie-Lynn Sigler (in Calvin Klein) and Robert Iler joined their co-stars from The Sopranos for their swan song victory celebration at the HBO party. James Gandolfini nabbed the Best Actor award, Edie Falco got Best Actress, and the entire cast walked away with the Ensemble award.
Rebecca Romijn and Michael Urie
Even though her husband couldn't make it, Rebecca Romijn wasn't about to call it an early night. The actress, looking hot in a form-fitting cocktail dress by Roberto Cavalli, danced the night away at the People party with her Ugly Betty co-star, Michael Urie. What would be the perfect ending to Romijn's night? "Getting into the limo and getting a big fat cheeseburger on the way home!" she exclaimed.
Diane Lane and Josh Brolin
After keeping the audience in stitches during his acceptance speech on behalf of the cast of No Country for Old Men, Josh Brolin squired his wife, actress Diane Lane, around the People after-party. Vanessa Williams, Nikki Blonsky and Forest Whitaker also kicked back at the post-ceremony bash.
Kevin Connolly, Adrian Grenier
They didn't win any SAG awards, but Entourage stars Kevin Connolly and Adrian Grenier (in John Varvatos) found some acceptable alternatives at the HBO after-party. The guys also showed off their strike beards, a manly trend also spotted on small screen actors like Rainn Wilson, James Gandolfini and Eric Mabius.
Angela Kinsey and Jenna Fischer
Jenna Fischer singled out Angela Kinsey's (in A Pea in the Pod) baby bump as the cast hit the press room to celebrate their win for Best Ensemble in a Comedy Series. "I love that the only skin I have to show is my arms. After the holidays, I didn't want to show much more than that!" said the Office worker of her Collette Dinnigan gown. Luckily, Fischer's newly-acquired award gave her an impromptu workout. "[The award weighs] about twenty pounds. It's a bicept workout for sure!" she said.
"I stepped on somebody's train and said, 'Oh, I'm sorry!' and then I looked up and it was her. said Amanda Bynes (in Marchesa) of her close encounter with Angelina Jolie. So I told her, 'I'm sorry...especially because it's you!' She laughed and was really sweet. I kind of ran away, but we were still in the same room. breathing the same air."
