Inside the Star-Studded SAG Awards After-Party
For those of us watching from home, the end of an awards show typically signals bedtime—Sunday is not the night to party, y’all. But for those who actually attend the ceremonies, it’s a different story. The end of the broadcast pretty much signals the start to an evening of star-studded after-parties.
When the 2017 SAG Awards show wrapped, attendees migrated to the People and Entertainment Industry Foundation-hosted party in the Shrine Auditorium’s backstage area. The decadent event adopted a Parisian street theme, which applied to both its lavish décor and floral arrangements as well as the French dishes and desserts served throughout the evening. Guests were also encouraged to get their caffeine fix at the after-party’s café—mini Dunkin' Donuts were a crowd favorite.
Among the many guests: Hidden Figures cast members Kimberly Quinn, Kirsten Dunst, Taraji P. Henson, Janelle Monae, and Octavia Spencer (above). Cocktails, critical acclaim, and great company? Not a bad way to spend the night.
