The actress arrived on the red carpet dripping in elegance, as usual. For the big night, Nicole chose a breathtaking dusty-blue Armani Privé gown with an exaggerated, crinkled peplum and a plunging sweetheart neckline that flowed into a pleated and belted bodice. The A-line skirt featured a matching train with a beaded bottom. On the red carpet, she told Laverne Cox that the gown's color was custom-designed for her. "I really wanted to wear blue, so they made this color," she said. "I love the color." The pointy neckline resembled butterfly wings which perfectly matched her intricate diamond choker by Harry Winston. She also accessorized with matching bracelets, rings, and a gold OMEGA watch, all curated by her longtime stylist, Julia von Boehm. Her strawberry blonde hair was pulled into an intricate side updo with face-framing strands crafted by Mara Roszak for Zuv. Her glam, executed by Kyra Panchenko (and prepped by FaceGym), was kept relatively simple, save for a vibrant red lip color that matched her crimson nails. Nicole Kidman is up for the big trophy tonight, as she's nominated in the Best Actress in a Leading Role category for her portrayal of Lucille Ball in her movie, Being the Ricardos. She's up against other talented women like Kristen Stewart and Jessica Chastain. Her co-star Javier Bardem, who played Desi Arnaz, is also nominated for Best Actor in a Leading Role. Instead, she watched the event from the comfort and safety of her own home. She shared a photo of herself to her Instagram, sitting on the floor in front of the TV. "Sitting crossed legged on the floor watching the #Oscars ...," she captioned the post. "Been doing this since I was a little girl."
