What It's Like to Wear H&M to the Met Gala
Absolutely divine. Are the only two words I could think of when I saw Alek Wek walk the steps of the Metropolitan Museum for the annual Costume Institute gala. This year's theme, "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination," seemed like a tricky one to nail. But legendary supermodel Alek Wek put together a perfect look with help from one of our favorite affordable brands H&M. The fast-fashion retailer has been switching things up for a couple of years now and wowing us with regal gowns. Remember when H&M dressed Sarah Jessica Parker back in 2015? Our hearts nearly skipped a beat. And somehow, the brand managed to outdo itself once again.

On Dressing for This Year's Theme
"My dress pays homage to this yearās theme in different ways. The color and craftsmanship inside out are beautiful. I love the cut and how it celebrates the woman Iāve blossomed into. It also has beautiful mosaic work which calls back to the theme."

On Choosing a Dress
"Well there is so much to choose from with a theme like this, so focusing in on the colors and designs of mosaic work was a great direction in which to go, i think. There are so many beautiful possibilities."
