The Pose star has officially graced the 73rd Primetime Emmy Awards red carpet looking absolutely flawless. The actress, who is up for the Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series Award, is wearing a pale blue-green one-shoulder ruched Atelier Versace gown with silver beading and a high slit running up her right leg. Rodriguez matched her metallic sandals to the gown, as well, and complemented the shimmer on her dress with a dazzling choker and a set of statement rings. The Pose star wore her dark hair parted down the middle in loose waves. Rich Fury/Getty Images Rodriguez is making history tonight as the first openly transgender performer to be nominated in a lead role in a primetime series, and is only the third transgender nominee in total (Laverne Cox was nominated in a supporting role four times for Orange is the New Black and Rain Valdez for lead actress in a short form series for Rain Valdez for Razor Tongue). If she takes home the award tonight, she'd make history once again as the first transgender performer to win an Emmy. Mj Rodriguez on the End of Pose and the Start of Something New In the Outstanding Lead Actress In a Drama Series category, she's competing against both Olivia Colman and Emma Corrin from The Crown, UzoAduba from In Treatment, Elisabeth Moss for The Handmaid's Tale, and Jurnee Smollett in Lovecraft Country. Pose is also nominated for Outstanding Drama series and Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Billy Porter's role as Pray Tell.
