Taraji P. Henson (you know, Oscar- and Emmy-nominated, Golden Globes winner, certified badass) is playing host tonight at the 2020 American Music Awards ceremony, which is taking place at Los Angeles's Microsoft Theater.
Even a pandemic won't stop the annual star-studded event: Jennifer Lopez and Maluma, Katy Perry, Justin Bieber, and BTS are set to perform during the big show. This year's nominees include Taylor Swift, The Weeknd, Megan Thee Stallion, Lady Gaga, and Cardi B.

While fans and viewers won't be casting votes for the red carpet — the AMAs is the world's largest fan-voted awards show — presenters and guests arrived ready to impress. Lopez, Dua Lipa (who beamed her look in from London), and Megan Fox all showed that sexy never goes out of style and even the guys got in on the action, with Maluma smoldering on the carpet before the broadcast.
Here are the looks everyone will be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
Taraji P. Henson
Host Taraji P. Henson set a good example with a plastic mask (the show and the red carpet were socially distanced) and a relaxed, but luxe, embellished dress with fringe detail. She finished her look with a turban.

Megan Fox and Machine Gun Kelly
Megan Fox's asymmetrical, emerald-green, one-sleeved mini almost got outshined by her beau Machine Gun Kelly's hybrid hoodie-tuxedo and futuristic metallic high-tops. Almost. Bonus: this is the couple's official red carpet debut.

Dua Lipa
A Versace mermaid moment. Dua Lipa wore an under-the-sea micro-mini from Donatella and Co. She arrived at Royal Albert Hall in London, where she'll be performing.

Cara Delevingne
Shine bright like Cara Delevingne. The model and actor (and presenter!) wore a bold metallic suit and sported a deep part with Veronica Lake waves. Instead of opting for Hollywood's go-to no-shirt look, Delevingne wore a nude bodysuit with corset detailing.

Bebe Rexha
Another daring diamond-studded look came courtesy Bébé Rexha. She is set to perform alongside Doja Cat.

Doja Cat
Doja Cat eschewed her usual Technicolor, Lisa Frank-inflected aesthetic for a more pared-down.

While the red carpet wasn't actually red, Ciara brought her own with his dramatic scarlet dress, complete with sky-high slit, flowing train, romantic sleeves, and graphic black lapel.

Laverne Cox
Laverne Cox brought some not-so-heavy metal with her molten gold gown and sheer cape.

Kristin Cavallari
Kristin Cavallari offered up a slightly more covered-up version of Angelina Jolie leg. While her leg was on full display, she was covered up everywhere else in a slinky turtleneck dress and stacks of bracelets.
