Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande Shut Down the 2020 VMAs with Their Performance of "Rain On Me"
Two pop stars, one stage.
Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande just performed their song "Rain On Me" for the first time live at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards, and while there was no audience to cheer them on in the stands, the pop stars most definitely received a standing ovation for their stellar production from the fans at home.
On Sunday night, the powerhouse pair took the stage for a masked, socially distanced performance of their song, wearing matching purple. Grande donned a halter top and skirt, while Gaga opted for a bra and high-waisted underwear.
Honestly, if these two can deliver those incredible vocals in their masks, we can all wear one to the grocery store.
Upon the release of the single's music video in May, fans speculated that the superstars may have saved the entire pop music genre, and now following their world-premiere performance, it's officially confirmed as true.
