From scheming Regina George in Mean Girls to love-torn Allie Hamilton in The Notebook, Rachel McAdams has shown she can play just about any role. But the London, Ontario native spent three years working at McDonald's in her hometown before she came to the big screen. McAdams still lives in Canada when she is not filming. Next up, the McAdams-who has dated fellow Canadian Ryan Gosling-will star in the flick, Married Life with Patricia Clarkson and Pierce Brosnan.

Also a London, Ontario native, Ryan Gosling was born in the same hospital as Rachel McAdams, but the pair did not meet until filming The Notebook years later. Gosling later landed a role on The Mickey Mouse Club alongside Christina Aguilara, Justin Timberlake, and Britney Spears, taking him to Orlando, Florida. His Oscar nomination last year for Half Nelson made him the youngest Best Actor nominee of the last thirty years.

Sarah Chalke

Self-proclaimed chocolate lover Sarah Chalke was born in Ottawa, Ontario and is best known for her eccentric character, Dr. Elliot Reid on Scrubs. "One of the reasons I wanted to be an actress was because I wanted to play Eponine in Les Miserables. Then I figured out I couldn't sing," Chalke has said. She made it into the showbiz anyway when she got her big break and took over the role of Becky on Roseanne in the 90's. Chalke is engaged to a fellow Canadian, Jamie Afifi.

He's recently been spotted with screen siren Scarlett Johansson, but funnyman Ryan Reynolds tries to keep his personal life on the down low. Canadian born, Reynolds-who has starred in Van Wilder and Smokin' Aces-was previously engaged to fellow Canadian, Alanis Morissette.

Discovered at a Canadian football game when her image appeared on the jumbo screen, Pamela Anderson found herself the new face for Labatt beer. Born in Ladysmith, British Columbia, Anderson went on to land the cover of Playboy Magazine and star in the small screen hit, Baywatch. She also garnered attention for her marriages to rocker Tommy Lee and Kid Rock.

Ontario native Mike Meyers gives fits of giggles to all ages. From starring on Saturday Night Live and three Shrek flicks, Meyers still likes to keep up with his boyhood passion. "I have to get my hockey fix at least once a day, so I like to log on to nhl.com a lot." he has said.

Born in Montreal, beauty Emmanuelle Chriqui got her big break as E's girlfriend on HBO's Entourage. Although she got cut out of Steven Spielberg's AI, it wasn't long before she made it on the scene in On the Line with Lance Bass and In the Mix with Usher. "I believe I was an Indian princess in a past life. I gravitate toward anything from India-music, home décor, Bollywood dancing," the globe-trotting Chriqui has said.

After playing roles on Veronica Mars and Arrested Development, Cera finally got some well-deserved recognition with this summer's big screen hit, Superbad. The proclaimed concert lover has said if she wasn't an actress, she would "probably have a flower shop in a small suburban town in Canada."

Carrey, a native of Newmarket, Ontario, came from humble beginnings, but has gone on to rake in millions at the box office. Starring in Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, How the Grinch Stole Christmas and The Mask, Carrey has most recently been in the news for his laid-back romance with fellow comedian Jenny McCarthy.

The past few years, however, she has been living in Hawaii to film her hit show Lost. "I've walked into salons with pictures of Kate [Bosworth] and said, 'Make me look like that,'" the sultry star has said of her beauty inspirations.
