News Awards & Events Fashion Week The Chunky Neck Is the Fall 2021 Fashion Trend You Can Start Wearing Now From big scarves to pussybows, it's taking over the (virtual) runways. It's moving at a much slower pace than we're used to, at least in terms of trends. We're not really in a rush to get back to sky-high stilettos and tons of annoying little buttons. And, it seems like designers are good with more of the same for Fall 2021: Lots of matching sets, nostalgic trends (the '90s and '00s are still going strong!), and flat, chunky, comfortable shoes. However, as we checked out all the (mostly) virtual runways, we couldn't help but notice all the fluffy, poufy, and overall 'chunky' necks that were happening. Whether it's a powerful pussybow, an oversized scarf, or a very large, very ruffled, Victorian-like collar, it really seems like best stuff is happening up top this time around — and, thankfully, it couldn't be easier to nail on our own. It's Impossible to Look at These Photos and Not Want an Oversized Rainbow Scarf While most runway trends take a full season to hit mainstream accessibility, this one is possibly more suited to our present-day Zoom lifestyle than anything else. Should you feel inclined to get ahead of the game and test out the chunky neck now, take a peek at the many ways brands are embracing the trend, ahead.
